A towering beacon of indulgence, the Luxor Hotel and Casino is a 30-story pyramid with two 22-story towers, a Sky Beam that is the strongest in the world and visible from outer space, and 47 acres on the Strip. In January 2008, Luxor opened several new venues. CatHouse offers a discrete playpen for provocative entertainment and lingerie inspired by the opulence of a 19th-century European bordello. Complementing CatHouse's upscale lounge is a sexy and sophisticated restaurant from celebrity Chef Kerry Simon. As night progresses, two styles of music with two separate DJs juxtapose rhythmic tastes in distinct areas within CatHouse. Also newly opened, the 10,000-square-foot Company American Bistro boasts a rustic feel in a chic environment while offering diners contemporary twists on classic American entrees. Liquidity features a bar and three separate lounge areas, as well as a cutting-edge projection system that uses water as a canvas. The hotel's casino features all the latest and classic gaming options. Live entertainment includes the adult revue Fantasy and the outrageous comedian Carrot Top. The IMAX Theatre offers a selection of new movies including some in 3-D. Nurture, the Spa at Luxor, is available for a daily fee of $20 (waived if a treatment of $60 or more is purchased) and features a whirlpool, sauna, men's cold plunge, free fruit juice and mineral water, fitness center, massages, and beauty treatments. Other amenities include brand new outdoor pool area, whirlpools, poolside beverage services, and cabana rentals. Restore at the Luxor is a new adult-only pool area that pampers those 21 or older. The Luxor is also home to the Games of the Gods arcade, a museum that recreates King Tut's tomb to meticulous detail, 29 retail stores, and several restaurants, including Fusia, the Steakhouse, and a food court. Guest rooms feature at least 420 square feet of space, high-speed Internet access, TVs, alarm clocks, and oversized showers.
