Bought by Sir Richard Branson in 1998 during one of his famous ballooning expeditions, Kasbah Tamadot is set at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains one hour's drive from Marrakech, Morocco. As part of our commitment to the community, Kasbah Tamadot actively approached the leaders of the local communities to offer villagers the opportunity to work at Kasbah Tamadot. Most had never worked in a hotel before, let alone spoke English, however we proudly employed and trained the local villagers in all aspects of hotel operations and English. Today we employ 100 staff together with our extended family of 3 mules and 2 camels. You can view a short video about the people who work at the property following the link to our video page.
