Beverly Hills Hotel celebrates its 100th Birthday

The Original Celebrity Hotel, The Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows celebrates it's 100th Birthday. Eleanor Reed honors Hotels of the Rich and Famous with a preview of her Article in Watch! Magazine with some help from Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O Dell who has re-created the iconic image of Faye Dunaway's Breakfast the Morning after she won an oscar.

In 1912, New Mexico and Arizona officially became states. The unsinkable Titanic sank. The Girl Scouts of America were founded and Boston's famed Fenway Park knocked baseball's Sox off. And in May of that year, out in the still-wilds of Southern California, The Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows opened on a plot of land that had previously been fertile lima bean fields.Over the century that followed, The Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows has become not only an important landmark but also an integral part of the industry that is Hollywood. A quick recap of that article is that my husband and I took an MSC Cruise of the Mediterranean disembarking from Barcelona. This is what we learned from the experience. Some things you should know before your MSC Cruise – Spend some time getting used to the ship layout. Large ships can take 10-15 minutes to get from one side to the other and sometimes you will be in a rush! Also avoid queues at the elevator by walking 2 minutes to the next set or taking the stairs.Although food at most of the restaurants is free, they do have specialty restaurants which do cost. You can charge it to your own board account.Let them know in advance of dietary requirements.Drinks are not included in lunch and dinner. Chocolate Hotel Rooms bring out the Stars

Chocolate and luxury hotels, two of my favorite things. Who dreamed you could combine them together? Who? Apparently chocolatiers, fashion designers, executive chefs, models, even actors knew you could combine these two decadent luxuries and end up with a whole lot of fun!

Luxury Hotel Pushes a New Zealand City Limits

A change to height limits in the heritage Britomart precinct has been proposed to allow for a luxury hotel.

Cooper and Company plan to build a five-star harbour-front hotel on Quay St, incorporating two historic buildings. The private company, formerly known as Bluewater, holds a contract from Auckland City Council to manage development at the Britomart precinct. The council?s objective for the contract was to create a "low-rise, heritage-based area".

But the developer now says the hotel can?t be built within the 24-metre height limit, and has put forward a private plan change to extend it. Chief executive Matthew Cockram says the existing seven-storey structure is not big enough for a top-quality hotel.

"The plan change is therefore essential to allow a five-star hotel to be built here," Mr Cockram says.

"If the change is not approved, we intend to build a mixed-use development instead."

In November 2009 Exodus has exclusive use of the icebreaker ship Kapitan Khlebnikov for a landmark expedition to Snow Hill Rookery, Antarctica. The voyage will be guided by Paul Goldstein, and accompanied by acclaimed wildlife photographers Jonathan and Angie Scott, and Andrew Chastney from the BBC's Natural History Unit. This extraordinary voyage is unlikely to be repeated.
