Within the past 10 years Atlantic City has gone through a revitalization. With hot new hotels and remodeled existing hotels the city has gone back to being America’s Playground and the celebrities have returned to play!

One of the most successful hotel revitalizations is Harrah's Resort Atlantic City. In 2006, to keep up with the newly built Borgata, the hotel went under a complete rehab adding an expanded VIP poker room, luxury shopping, elegant restaurants, hip night club, luxurious spa and super stylish hotel suites. The result is a stunning blend of old and new Atlantic City that has brought stars from all over the world!

The Harrah’s now echoes the newly built hotels of Las Vegas by appealing not only to gamblers but also to luxury vacationers who require more than just slot machines. My husband and I stayed in the Marina Tower which is for VIP guests. While all the rooms in the hotel are nice, the Tower blows away the rest of the hotel. The Tower Rooms feature the top of the line amenities such as huge LCD TVs, spa like bathroom, sound proofing, separate living area and a stunning view of the bay. We booked a suite which was the size of a New York City Condo - over 1255 square feet. It even had a kitchen and two bathrooms!

Upon check-in we had a beautiful fruit and cheese spread awaiting us and the television was playing relaxing music with a very cool screen saver. It was so relaxing. The bed had the finest linens and was very comfortable. The master bathroom had a separate tub, shower and toilet you could close off separately from the rest of the bathroom all finished in the finest marble and tiles.

I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of activities and things to do in the hotel. In fact I stayed 3 days and never left the hotel. There were several restaurants, but even better was the shopping! The hotel has a small shopping mall called the Water Front Shops which has an excellent selection of jewelry. I purchased myself a Swarovski necklace while my husband took part in the Casino games, he even played in a poker tournament.

The Award Winning Red Door Spa is fantastic. It features 23 treatment rooms including a couple's suite with lounge area, fireplace, couple's Jacuzzi tub and shower; State-of-the-art pedicure thrones and manicure stations with individual flat-screen TV monitors; Full-service retail boutique and beauty department featuring Elizabeth Arden's "custom color" foundation and signature skincare and make-up; Separate female/male "wet zones" complete with steam, sauna and Jacuzzi pools and fireplace; Separate female/male relaxation lounges and co-ed quiet relaxation areas; and best of all it connects to the Pool.

The Harrah's Resort Atlantic City Pool during the day transports you to a tropical paradise. The VIP Cabanas allow privacy and the hotel has a separate pool for families giving you peace from screaming kids. At night the pool is transformed in to one of the hottest clubs you’ll ever see. Young hot stars such as Lauren Conrad, Nick Carter, Kim Kardashian, Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kendra Wilkinson, Mario Lopez, Carmen Electra are all drawn to the mesmerizing nightlife at the Harrah’s The Pool After Dark. The Pool After Dark has been called one of the hottest clubs on the east coast, has been voted Mega Club of the Year by Nightclub & Bar Magazine and I can see why. The line for the club goes around the block and is full of beautiful girls who have to wait to get in! They always have the hottest music and DJs plus guest appearances from hot musicians like Lil John, Joel Madden, Wyclef Jean and even rock super star Bret Michaels has made an appearance or two.

After a late night at the club and casino, I slept in while my husband went for an all-day golf game with the hotel affiliated Atlantic City Country Club. I ordered room service (which was excellent) and ordered Sex and the City 2 on the television. In the movie the girls travel all the way to the Middle East to stay in the finest hotels, while that would be fun, it’s nice to know we have hotels like the Harrah's Resort Atlantic City right here in the United States.
