Glamping the Art of Glamorous Camping

Glamping or Glamorous Camping is the new trend; catering only to those who can afford it, which provides the same outdoor idea behind camping yet doesn't have all of the negatives associated with 'roughing it'.
There are two sides to the fence and maybe the grass is greener on the other side. When you compare camping to Glamping we are still talking about tented vacationing in the outdoors, but that is where the similarity ends. There is a big difference between a five-course meal and five hotdogs roasted on the campfire.
The clientele who are choosing to glamp instead of camp have a different threshold when it comes to acceptable comfort levels. Travelers that are used to the Ritz and the Four Seasons as standard accommodation will not accept a small tent and meals over a campfire. This level of traveler requires plush beds, down duvets, and extraordinary meals only found in the finest hotels. If the soft adventure was not as soft at these Glamping destinations, these travelers would stay in the city and never experience wilderness adventures.
Glamping at destinations such as Clayoquot Wilderness Resort has provided a destination for wealthy travelers, which pulls them slightly out of their comfort zone with one foot planted securely on the other side of the fence.
