For the rich and famous London is the ultimate pleasure ground. Boasting some of the world's best restaurants, most famous nightclubs and elegant designer shops - celebrities and the well-heeled have numerous things to do here. From chartering a private Thames River Trip to a personal capsule on the London Eye, this great city is the personal playground of the rich and famous.
London, a Place to Dine and Drink
With over 60 Michelin stars, the rich and famous have plenty of fabulous dinner spots. Favorites include The Ivy, a long time hangout for those with cash to splash and The Grill at The Dorchester where famed chef, Brian Hughson serves up a menu of traditional grilled dishes. For the younger crowd there's Nobu and Zuma, where guests enjoy contemporary Japanese cuisine in fashionable, modernist surroundings.
London is known for serving up classic afternoon tea and the rich and famous like to indulge in cake and a cuppa at The Savoy, Claridge's or perhaps Harvey Nichols, after an afternoon of designer shopping. Celebrity haunts such as Mayfair's Mahiki Bar and Kensington's Boujis Club are the places to be seen and even royalty can be sometimes found enjoying a drink and a dance at these exclusive hangouts.
Shopping Delights
London offers world class shopping and even when celebs are just passing through, they still stop to buy some clothes from one of the world's fashion capitals. Shopping in London is often the choice for those on solo holidays who can enjoy wandering down Carnaby Street at their own leisure. From the boutique stores along King's Road in Chelsea to the designer labels of Bond Street, London is a shopper's paradise. For food shopping the rich and famous often head to the celebrated food halls of Selfridges and Harrods.
Experience the Good Life in Privacy
London is home to a number of world-class attractions, but the rich and famous on adventure holidays can take these experiences one step further. Rather than share their London Eye capsules with a group of tourists, some people choose to pay for their own. Romantic packages include champagne and chocolates all provided within a private capsule. The rich and famous can also experience this busy city with a space of their own by chartering a private boat along the River Thames.
Sporting Greats
Whilst most people are confined to the living room to watch the big games, the rich and famous on sporting or adventure holidays can often enjoy the live event. Those with money or connections can easily obtain tickets to premiership football matches at the Emirates Stadium, or Stamford Bridge perhaps and can even enjoy executive boxes with private dining. For some it may be preferable to get hold of those 'gold dust' tickets to Centre Court at Wimbledon followed by strawberries and cream, or perhaps even a match at Lords Cricket Ground.
Of all the cities in the world, London offers the best all round experience for the rich and famous with a plethora of fine dining, celeb nightclubs and designer shopping. Enjoying the city from executive sport boxes or private capsules is how the rich and famous get to escape the hustle and bustle of London whilst enjoying the best it has to offer.
