Winter is value season at Biltmore

Instead of allowing that post-holiday cooped-up feeling give way to a long winter’s nap, refresh and warm up with a tour through the great indoors with Inn on Biltmore Estate.In the winter months Biltmore House offers a warm escape into a bygone era replete with rare artwork and inspiring architectural details. Christmas at the Biltmore

Known as one of the Southeast’s most beloved and storied holiday travel destinations,Christmas at Biltmore is set to begin on Nov. 4, 2011, and will run through Jan. 1, 2012. Candlelight Christmas Evenings, offering evening candlelight tours of Biltmore House, take place Nov. 11 through Dec. 31. Christmas displays throughout Biltmore House, the gardens and grounds will center on the many countries George and Edith Vanderbilt visited at the turn of the century. The couple enjoyed taking journeys together to learn, explore and collect art, furniture and other items for their home. Rooms in Biltmore House will feature the traditions and folklore of France, Germany, India, Egypt and Italy with elements of the Vanderbilt family’s own Christmas traditions mixed in. Biltmore Concert Series Schedule 2011

A mix of Grammy-winning and contemporary Christian artists highlight Biltmore’s annual concert series, which has grown from a summertime event to one stretching from July through October.

In addition to the South Terrace, performances will be held at Biltmore’s newest event venue, Diana at Biltmore, an intimate setting on the vista overlooking Biltmore House.
